Sometimes a cover band can play a song exactly the same as the original artist. And sometimes they can take a song to a new level that words just cannot explain. And sometimes it straddles that fine line between comedy and great music. This would be one of those cases. Enjoy....
One of my little monster's favorite songs to sing along to while driving in the car.
To try and make the day better for my girlfriend:
So, what happens when you catch and 80's song on the radio, and then you catch it again remade in a recent movie (Not Another Teen Movie) by Marylin Manson and then you catch it remade completely horribly by group that you find it hard to even call it music; i.e. the Pussycat Dolls? Well.. you have to post all of the versions on your VOX account of course. Feel free to pick your poison:
Back from the good ol' days when bands wrote their own music and actually performed it live in concert. *grin* Yeah, I am currently listening to my oldies MP3 disk in my car and this song came on during my morning drive time. Still kind of stuck in my head: (edited: original post used a video that didn't allow embedding so here is a live version of the same song)
For some odd reason I only like Beatles songs when they have been remade by other groups.
In the early days of MTV a little known band popped up with this one hit wonder. I found out this weekend people either remember this song or they just don't realize that they do. For me it is hard to forget just because the video was just too funny to watch. It is always good to see a group that doesn't take themselves too seriously. Anyway start the workweek on happy note and get up and "Safety Dance!"
If you have never heard any of Stephen Lynch's music this song will throw you off. If you are sarcastic and have a good sense of humor you will probably like it. They say this video is for mature audiences only, but it is one of his tamer songs. Anyway, I was looking for something to make me laugh this afternoon, and I thought I would share it with everyone else.
Okay; Now for the song that shook up the world when it's video came out. Well, okay, not as much as Boy George. Confused yet? Okay, let me try and make some sense. Here is the international version of the video for Frankie Goes to Hollywood song "Relax." It is kind of a tame video with suggestions of homosexuality:
Another song from the X-Files series; I cannot find the original Soul Coughing video, so this one will have to do.
Oh and enter the caption contest! Only three more days!
